Paragon Compact Adams-Morgan Tube Radio
Paragon Compact Adams-Morgan Tube Radio. I know nothing about this radio. It is not in the Alan Douglas book. The volume control control is the two light green flat coils which are moved to a 90 degree position by turning the volume control knob. It has 2 stages of audio amplification. All four tube sockets have paragon written on them. Same for the large knob. It can take 01A tubes but came with four 199 tubes in tube adapters.
John Terrey, after looking at pictures of this set, commented: "The cabinet and panel look similar to the Paragon TWO which is a 2-tube unit. The TWO cabinet does not have a base, but the THREE and FOUR do have a base, like your set. The TWO has, on the left, a "volume" knob, also adjusting coupling in coils. On the right, the lower knob is a rheostat and the upper right knob is a switch. I have never seen or heard of this set and I have most early Paragon sets."
Any information on this radio would be appreciated.
