Arcturus Blue Single-Ended 27 & 45 & 80 Tube Amplifier
Arcturus Blue Single-Ended 27 & 45 & 80 Tube Amplifier, 1 watt. I designed and built this amplifier in 2015. It is single-ended in design with 1 to 1 1/2 watts output requiring very sensitive speakers. I wanted to use tubes from the 1920s with modern output transformers. No solid state devices were used. When I first bread boarded it I tried to use only one 27 tube but I had to add another stage to get the most out of the 45 tubes. It uses James output transformers. It sounds really wonderful.
